Equality Act Implementation of Provisions Confirmed
The Government Equalities Office (GEO) has confirmed which parts of the Equality Act 2010 are coming into force on 1 October 2010.
Implementation of the Act was thrown into doubt with the election of a new Government, and it was only in July that it was confirmed that the majority of the Act�s provisions would come into force on 1 October 2010, as originally planned by the previous Government.
The GEO has now published a list of the provisions coming into effect on that date, together with those provisions that are either the subject of a consultation exercise, or which the Government �is still considering�.
