The Equality Bill - defining a new approach or business as usual?
In July, The Fawcett Society held a special Gender Equality Forum debate on the Equality Bill's potential to not only simplify existing legislation but to act as a tool to positively promote equality. The event was attended by a set of high level diversity practitioners and policy makers including Vera Baird QC MP, Jonathan Rees, Director General of the Government Equalities Office, and Alan Christie, Director of Policy at the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
