Blind Life in Durham
Blind Life In DurhamBlind Life IN Durham (B.L.IN.D.) is a young organization established in 2004, managed by a committee of visually impaired volunteers, to help and support the blind and partially sighted community in County Durham.
The group meets on a regular basis each month to support, promote independence and quality of life, through friendship, to those with a visual impairment.
We depend largely upon grants and donations to fund our core work and together with many fund raising activities helped us to achieve charitable status in August 2005.
From then on, progress has been gaining momentum with the group able to organize events and outings for its members.
