Removing Barriers, Challenging Perceptions. The EHRC comes in to operation in October and Equality legislation is undergoing it’s biggest shake up for 30 years. This series of training workshops are aimed at tackling stereotypes, busting myths and challenging participants’ perceptions. Included in the workshops will be examples of good (and possibly bad) practice and an opportunity to ask facilitators and other members, questions. Each workshop will be held in the Digital Factory, Newton Aycliffe and Lemington Community Centre, Newcastle.

Over three decades on from the Sex Discrimination and Race Relations Acts this workshop looks at the journey so far and asks where next? An opportunity to step back in time and take a look back at the headlines, culture and working practices of the day, put into context with a look at how we may be viewed in the future. An interesting and challenging workshop with the opportunity to ask questions in an open forum.
