Johnson pledges more help for 'silent minority'
The 10 million people suffering from a mental health problem at any one time are the country's largest silent minority, Health Secretary Alan Johnson said recently.
More must be done to address stigma, he said.
"Prejudice and discrimination against people with mental health problems is entrenched," he added in a speech to a conference in London.
Mr Johnson said that, at any one time, one in six people would be living with a mental health problem. One in four would experience an episode of mental illness at some point in their lifetime.
